"Conceived as part of a masterplan for The University of Wales to create a new campus beside the River Usk and regeneration of the waterfront, this new building gathers together the Business, Technology, Art, Design and Media disciplines into a single collaborative environment under one roof. Accommodation includes heavily serviced sound and television studios, screening theatres, lecture theatres, learning support, exhibition space, teaching studios and academic offices. The planning of the building is very well considered and fluidly knits together considerably diverse uses. A public internal street provides access to the performance spaces, which also host student exhibitions and external revenue-earning exhibitions." -- RIBA
