Commentary
"[The] William Oliver house, Los Angeles, 1933. Built on a hillside lot, the house had a wood stud frame which was modified to permit a wider use of large glass areas. It was built at a cost of $4 per square foot. The living room was furnished with Schindler's unit furniture, which could be assembled in a variety of combinations. Schindler felt that furniture should merge with the house, leaving the room free to express its form."
