| Notes | WOS 8 (Warmte Overdracht Station) recycles energy from a UNA power plant about .6 miles (1 km) away, to provide heat and warm water for 11,000 future homes in Utrecht's new western district of Leidsche Rijn. In order to deter vandalism, the station also serves as a climbing wall, a water feature, and a public sculpture, and provides a basketball hoop and a peephole into its interior. |
