Georgis’s approach to design, he says, centers on “responding to context and program, problem solving, intuiting my clients’ dreams and realizing my own.” His architecture is predicated on invention and tradition as well as on an unorthodox use of materials; his interior design augments its architectural context while promoting its own point of view. “Often, architects stop at a certain level of detail,” Georgis observes. “I think it’s meaningful to design down to the minutiae so that the small scale, both architectural and decorative, reinforces the big picture.
