"Yorke Rosenberg and Mardall was founded by three leading Modernist architects, FRS Yorke, Eugene Rosenberg and Cyril Mardall, in 1944. Under the second generation of partners, led by David Allford and Brian Henderson, the practice became known as YRM in 1975. YRM expanded into multi-disciplinary professional services in the 1980s. Independent self-ownership was re-established in 1997 through a management and employee buyout, led by Jonathan Gray, John Clemow, Gordon Ripley and Peter Stocker.
